Lovie MCP›Cursor
Editor
Cursor reads MCP servers from a JSON file at two scopes and runs the OAuth flow itself. The one-click button below writes the same file for you.
The only value you need
https://mcp.lovie.co/mcp
This opens Cursor and writes the config for you. Cursor asks you to confirm before it installs anything.
⇧⌘J on macOS, Ctrl + Shift + J on Windows and Linux.https://mcp.lovie.co/mcp. Name it lovie.mcp.json and shows the server in the list.| Scope | File |
|---|---|
| Every project | ~/.cursor/mcp.json |
| This project | .cursor/mcp.json at the repo root |

}
}
A remote server is identified by having a url. The type field is
only needed for local stdio servers, which run a command instead.
https://www.cursor.com/agents/mcp/oauth/callback in the browser, or http://localhost:8787/callback on the desktop app.| Symptom | Cause |
|---|---|
| Server listed, tools greyed out | The toggle is off, or you are in Ask mode. Tool calls need Agent mode. |
| Nothing happens after saving | Invalid JSON — usually a trailing comma. Cursor fails silently on a malformed mcp.json. |
| Login window closes with nothing happening | A browser blocking the callback redirect. Retry with the default browser, or use the desktop app. |
| Config written but ignored | Two files disagree. A project .cursor/mcp.json takes precedence over the one in your home directory. |
