Lovie MCP›Windsurf
Editor
Windsurf's Cascade panel manages MCP servers, and its config calls the URL field serverUrl. Cascade also caps the tools it will hold at once, which matters once you have several servers.
The only value you need
https://mcp.lovie.co/mcp
https://mcp.lovie.co/mcp, naming it lovie. Or edit the raw config — see below.~/.codeium/windsurf/mcp_config.json:
{
"mcpServers": {
"lovie": {
"serverUrl": "https://mcp.lovie.co/mcp"
}
}
}
serverUrl
Not url, which is what Cursor, Claude Code and Zed use. A snippet copied
from one of those is accepted as JSON and then does nothing. Watch the capital U.
Cascade holds a maximum of 100 tools at any one time across every server. If you already run several MCP servers, disable the Lovie tools you do not need from the same settings screen — otherwise the ones you do need may be the ones cut.
| Symptom | Cause |
|---|---|
| Server ignored after editing the file | You used url. Windsurf reads serverUrl. |
| Some Lovie tools missing | The 100-tool cap. Disable tools from other servers. |
| Config saved but nothing refreshes | Hit refresh on the MCP panel; Windsurf does not watch the file. |
Windsurf’s Cascade documentation now lives under Devin following the Cognition acquisition, which is why the source link below points there.
